Designing for the Boutique Design Trade Fair.
Each year our client BERMANFALK attends the Boutique Design Trade Fair, also known as BDNY and BDWest. Boutique Design is the leading trade fair and conference for the hospitality design industry, serving the eastern United States, Canada and Europe. Our goal is to create a space where we can showcase BERMANFALK's casegoods manufacturing company to the hospitality industry. Working within a 10' by 20' space, our goal is to captivate the attendees, but also to show the deep dedication that BERMANFALK has to the furniture designers who hire them.
Look out New York, we've got a winner.
Studiothink always sets out to develop a winning booth concept, but we never imagined that this concept would become the Best Exhibit Competition winner. This year we wanted to showcase BERMANFALK's passion for design and style, and chose to use Timothy Goodman, a famous freestyle mural artist, to create art on blank canvas. The booth would display some of the hospitality furniture that BERMANFALK has manufactured, but other than that, the entire booth, all walls and surfaces were blank. On day one of the trade show Timothy began drawing, using prompts and strategies that Studiothink had delivered to him beforehand. The result was astounding, as attendees stopped to check his progress throughout the show. Studiothink supplemented the creative campaign with advertising and social media, creating a truly impactful trade show experience.
