Restoring voice, identity, and belonging through brand and digital presence.

The Stó:lō Women’s Group, known as Thélá:ylexw awtxw, exists to reconnect Stó:lō women with culture, community, and one another. Formed by women who felt the loss of tradition and belonging through generations of colonial impact, the group has become a powerful space for restoration, learning, and collective strength.

Their work is deeply rooted in community, storytelling, land, and intergenerational connection. As the organization grew, so did the need for a brand and website that could carry the weight of that responsibility. One that could speak clearly to Stó:lō women across generations, while also educating and welcoming the broader public.

Studiothink partnered with the Stó:lō Women’s Group to help articulate who they are, why they exist, and how they show up in the world through a cohesive brand and a purpose driven digital experience.

The problem

The Stó:lō Women’s Group had a powerful mission, but limited visibility and digital infrastructure to support growth.

Most awareness lived through word of mouth, making it difficult to reach women across the full geographic and generational spectrum of the Stó:lō community. Their existing digital presence did not reflect the depth of their work, the strength of their voice, or the range of programs and events they offered. Membership growth, event participation, and discoverability were constrained by a lack of structure and clarity online.

For an organization built on connection and advocacy, the challenge was not purpose. It was amplification.

The solution

Studiothink delivered a comprehensive brand strategy and a new website designed to serve as both a community hub and a living expression of identity.

We worked closely with the group to develop a brand rooted in compassion, strength, and cultural responsibility. The brand voice was crafted to feel warm, intentional, and empowering, while remaining grounded in the seriousness of the work being done. Language, storytelling, and visual direction were all designed to honour Stó:lō culture while creating clarity and accessibility for modern audiences.

The website was built to support real participation. Membership applications, event listings and registrations, news and storytelling, and a protected member portal were all thoughtfully integrated into a clear, intuitive experience. The site was designed to work across generations, devices, and levels of digital comfort, ensuring no one was excluded from engaging or belonging.

The result is a brand and digital platform that does more than inform. It connects. It supports. It restores. The Stó:lō Women’s Group now has a strong, visible foundation to grow membership, deepen engagement, and continue their essential work of reclaiming and restorying identity for generations to come.w event bookings, expand dining relevance, and deepen loyalty across every audience they serve.
